Top Phone Plans This Year

by pps-DUEditor

Looking to get a new phone plan for yourself? Here are some of our top picks for the year 2021. There’s something here for just about everyone – so take a look!

Mint Mobile Unlimited Data

If you are looking for an unlimited phone plan, this one is pretty great. You get unlimited text, talk, data, for just $30 per month. You also get 5GB of mobile hotspot and unlimited calling to Canada and Mexico.

Verizon Start Unlimited

For $35 per month, you get unlimited talk and text with this plan. You get 22GB of LTE 4G data and 15 GB of LTE 4G hotspot data as well.

Republic Wireless

Republic Wireless’ plans start at just $15 per month for unlimited text and talk. You can also choose to add high speed 4G to the plan for $5 per month.

While the above-listed plans are our top picks, here are some plans we recommend if you are looking for an inexpensive plan – keep in mind that some of these plans are “bare bones” in terms of what they offer.

FreedomPop

FreedomPop’s plans are basically free! Yes, free! But, it’s quite limited – all you get is 200 minutes, 500MB of data, and 500 texts. However, their other plans are also very cheap in case you need to upgrade to a better plan. It’s important to note that you may be charged an activation fee.

Scratch Wireless

Scratch Wireless’ basic plan comes up to a little under $70, but there are quite a few catches. First, you need to buy your cell phone from them (and you have no choice in this matter). The yearly cost only covers cellular texting and calling over WiFi. If you want anything more, you’ll have to upgrade to another plan.

RedPocket

This is another cell phone plan provider that offers really cheap plans for basic service. The plan costs about $10 a month, and for this amount you get 500MB of data, 500 texts, and 500 minutes. They even offer unlimited plans, but you’ll need to pay more for such plans. That said, most of RedPocket’s plans are quite inexpensive and there are no contracts.
